Peptide Hormone PhIP-Seq Services
As part of our HuScan services, we are now offering our Peptide Hormone PhIP-Seq library services. Discover, quantify, and analyze peptide hormone interactions like never before.
REQUEST INFOThe endocrine system controls critical physiological processes through peptide hormones, but emerging research reveals a crucial missing piece: circulating autoantibodies that bind directly to these hormones. Our innovative Peptide Hormone PhIP-Seq service provides the most comprehensive platform available for identifying these hormone-specific autoantibodies and their role in disease.
HuScan PhIP-Seq enables simultaneous epitope-level autoantibody profiling against an entire human proteome.
Due to the critical nature of these peptides and variations in phage display structure which might inhibit detection of an antibody response, each peptide hormone was displayed redundantly in multiple windowed contexts. Short hormones were displayed to the left, center, right, or repeated across the 34-mer peptide display window. Each version was displayed 5-times, providing abundant experimental redundancy for real detected reactions. An example of this for an insulin peptide is shown in the table below.
An example of this for an insulin peptide is shown here.
6,520 unique peptides
representing 356 hormone entries
290 human peptide hormones
plus 66 pharmaceutical preparations
Multiple display contexts
with 5-fold redundancy for maximum sensitivity
Epitope-level resolution
for precise antibody mapping
Proven validation
with commercial insulin antibodies and human serum samples
Traditional approaches to hormonal disorders have focused on genetic, metabolic, and environmental factors. However, mounting evidence shows that autoantibodies reactive to peptide hormones play a significant role in:
Metabolic Disorders
Autoantibodies against appetite-regulating hormones linked to obesity, anorexia nervosa, and bulimia
Endocrine Dysfunction
Thyroid-targeting antibodies in Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease
Neuropsychiatric Conditions
ACTH-reactive antibodies associated with aggression and conduct disorders
Growth and Development
IGF2 autoantibodies implicated in growth disorders and cancer
Reproductive Health
Autoantibodies targeting reproductive hormones like FSH, LH, and hCG contributing to infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, and pregnancy complications
Our Peptide Hormone PhIP-Seq service represents the next generation of autoantibody detection, providing researchers with the tools needed to understand the complex interplay between hormones, immunity, and disease. Whether you're investigating metabolic disorders, autoimmune diseases, or exploring novel therapeutic targets, our hormone-focused PhIP-Seq platform delivers the comprehensive, high-resolution data you need to advance your research.
Our hormone-focused library provides superior detection compared to traditional one-by-one assays, with built-in redundancy ensuring reliable results.
